Zhongyuan Graphene Laboratory Conducts a Research Visit to Bibao on the Advanced Carbon Materials Industry

On April 22, Zhang Baoguo, Deputy Director of the Central Plains Graphene Laboratory, led a delegation to Henan Wuxing New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. for a special research visit on the development of the advanced carbon materials industry. Relevant officials from the Pingdingshan Institute of Industrial Technology of the Henan Academy of Sciences, the Municipal Innovation Platform Service Center, and the County Science and Technology Bureau accompanied the delegation.

On April 22, Zhang Baoguo, Deputy Director of the Central Plains Graphene Laboratory, led a delegation to Henan Wuxing New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. for a special research visit on the development of the advanced carbon materials industry. Relevant officials from the Pingdingshan Institute of Industrial Technology of the Henan Academy of Sciences, the Municipal Innovation Platform Service Center, and the County Science and Technology Bureau accompanied the delegation.

 

 

The research delegation first visited the processing workshop and laboratory of Henan Changrui Graphite Co., Ltd. Zhao Junyi, Chairman of Wuxing New Materials, provided a detailed briefing on the company’s production processes, achievements in scientific and technological innovation, product applications, and market strategy, enabling the delegation to gain a clear and in-depth understanding of the company’s R&D capabilities, its ability to translate research outcomes into practical applications, and its talent pool. Subsequently, the two sides held a symposium focusing on the development needs of the advanced carbon materials industry, key technical challenges, and mutual interest in collaboration, engaging in an in-depth discussion on collaborative models involving industry, academia, research, and end-users, as well as on the integration of high-quality resources.

 

 

During the symposium, Zhang Baoguo stated that the purpose of this visit is twofold: first, to lay the foundation for establishing the Central Plains Advanced Carbon Materials Industry Technology Research Institute by conducting surveys of the core strengths of various institutions, thereby defining the institute’s strategic direction, core functions, and collaboration mechanisms; second, to gain a thorough understanding of the development needs and technical challenges facing the advanced carbon materials industry in Baofeng County, build a communication bridge between the Central Plains Graphene Laboratory and local enterprises and research institutions, facilitate the practical application and commercialization of technological achievements, and thereby support the high-quality development of Henan Province’s advanced carbon materials industry.

 

 

Going forward, the County Science and Technology Bureau will take this research visit as an opportunity to proactively align with the innovation resources of the Central Plains Graphene Laboratory, provide comprehensive follow-up services, and facilitate the localization and commercialization of more cutting-edge innovations in the field of advanced carbon materials within our county. This effort will help elevate and upgrade our county’s carbon-based new materials industry, injecting robust technological momentum into the high-quality development of the county economy.
